Civil War Living History at Fort Knox

Travel back in time to the 1860’s with the Civil War Living History Encampment at Fort Knox. The three-day event features Civil War living history demos including garrison fort operations, guard mount, cannon firing and camp life in the mid-1800’s.  Please see website, social media for the most update schedule of events.


  Soldiers from the 3rd Maine Regiment Vol Inf, Company A &  6th Maine Battery kick things off with a boom! Troops recreate Civil War Fort life including period guard mount, drill, parade and firing demonstrations while Cannoneers from the 6th Maine Battery reenact gun crew functions with full size replica 10 pound Parrot Rifles.
