Grown Ups Play Date: Thrift Store Art Makeovers

Revamp. Reincarnation. Editing. Desecration. Call it what you will. We are taking art someone thought better of and making it . . . even better. Scour the thrift shop bins, your closet, the basement, and the curb for a painting, sculpture, sketch, or print that speaks to you. We will have a few on hand, too. Then push up your sleeves, take a deep breath, ask forgiveness, and give it that extra sumthin’ sumthin’ it’s been waiting for! No special skills necessary: we’ve got stencils, paint pens, collage materials, needles, embroidery thread, and plenty of good ideas.
